DOCE ENGAÑOS - The 12 Feints of Kalis Ilustrisimo

If there is one factor that would define the art of Kalis Ilustrisimo or the tactics used by Grand Master “Tatang” Ilustrisimo is the judicial use of “ENGAÑOS” or what is commonly known as feints or “baiting”.

I’m asked many times if Kalis Ilustrisimo is an offensive or a defensive style. My best reply is that it is neither.

It is a style that predominantly concentrates on “setting up” the opponent through the use of feints and deception.

DOCE ENGAÑOS is a video that gives you the tactics of GM Ilustrisimo. It is a step-by-step guide to the basic “12 Angles of Striking” and gives an in-depth and complete breakdown of the fakes and setups available to you.

The greatest advantage of this is that you control the fight. You are not dependent on waiting for your opponent's move. You take the fight to them.....

The principles taught can readily be adapted to the 12 angle strikes to any style of FMA.

Lesson Three
Essential Defence.

Crucial concepts to build proper distancing and effective cover

It gives you detailed insights into proper measure, footwork and posture.

This segment also covers all the fundamental blocks you will ever need in developing a stronghold defence

There are 3 ranges in the Kalis Ilustrisimo system. Duelling Range (Long Range). Battlefield Range (Medium Range) and Ambush Range (Close Quarter).

Lesson 4
Battlefield Range.

Detailing and breaking down the versatile “Roof Block”.

With slight alterations. This defensive move can defend against a wide variety of strikes.

It also caters for offensive moves when you want to close in the distance to neutralise your opponent.

This Lesson also goes into great explanation on when and how to use the non-weapon hand. This makes the crucial difference between success and failure at this deadly distance.

Couple Lesson 4 with the previous videos. You will have an effective balanced game no matter what situation.

Always on the search for evolving my system to something better and more superior. I have transformed into the “forehand” grip.

For anyone who has ever done Floro Fighting Systems; or those curious about what it’s all about. This is the embodiment of it.

The RAY FLORO UNDERHAND KNIFE METHOD is probably the fastest and easiest to learn of all the knife systems I teach.

Its unique approach of holding the blade in a forehand / EDGE UP grip facilitates angles of attacks that are difficult to defend. It also maximises your reach advantage.

In close quarters, it provides a rapid attack pattern that is devastating.

The underhand method stands on its own but is also a fantastic system to use in conjunction with double knife, stick and dagger or sword and dagger techniques.

Covering the basic strikes. Ray introduces you to his “Door Knock” punches. A great alternative to the traditional boxing jab, cross and hooks. Those who have problems with generating power will be pleased with this new method. The door knocking strikes also decreases the risk of sprained wrists when punching.

This video is based on the Military Stick Systems taught to the British Commandos by W.E. Farbairn and to the USMC by John Styers.

Ray Floro’s DOS MANOS for Walking Canes, Umbrellas and other long weapons.

I’m proud to be able to offer my Two Handed Dos Manos system for impact weapons.

Concentrating mainly on the use of the Unbreakable Umbrella or the Walking Cane. These are probably the only form of “legal” tools in countries with strict carry laws.

For more than a decade, I have been uncomfortable in using the two handed method. With the slight adjustment I explain in great detail. It is now my most favoured system.

Developed in 1969 and adopted by Law Enforcements Agencies worldwide. The Arthur Lamb method consists of 7 simple Phases.
